Promising a mystery evening in Euroa, Go Seymour members were taken from Seymour station in style.
Many guests had donned their Friday finest as they were treated to complimentary drinks on the train’s original 1937 carriages.
The event, a collaboration between Go Seymour and the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre, provided riders with multiple reminders of the important role and history of rail in Seymour.
Following a scenic stroll from Euroa station, the 68 attendees arrived at the rejuvenated North Eastern Hotel and enjoyed the opportunity to unwind.
Short presentations were provided by Go Seymour president Stuart Locke and Seymour Railway Heritage Centre president John Crofts. The two set out their vision for their respective organisations and the district.
Mr Locke’s presentation addressed the importance of the Seymour Community Wellbeing Hub, a regional cycling master plan, a meet the farmer initiative and plans for a new entertainment complex in Seymour.
