Fun and games for Dookie Primary

In recent weeks, Victorian company Gecko Surfacing Solutions installed the multi-use basketball, netball and play area to replace the school’s dilapidated concrete surface.

Acting principal Luke Kleinig said the grand opening was a great event for the small school’s tight-knit community and the students were looking forward to putting their new play area through its paces in Term 2.

“The new surface looks and feels fantastic, and the students love it,” he said.

“It’s also much safer and will certainly save us from a few skinned knees in future!”

The new surface was made possible through Outside School Hours Care funding.
