Firefighters last year raised more than $12,000, contributing to a national tally of $23,368,724 - a record for the Good Friday Appeal.
The money raised for the Good Friday Appeal goes toward the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, supporting critical research, the purchase of the latest technologies and creating a space for families and patients during such a difficult time.
Deniliquin’s Fire + Rescue NSW Captain Martin Smith said the team is happy to be involved again, for a good cause.
“We will be hitting up all the local caravan parks for donations on the Friday, so there will be plenty of firefighters getting around collecting.
“As well as this, there will be displays and activities, we will have a display and on the day for the kids or anyone to come along and see and test some of the specialised gear.”
