Familiar faces to lead Seymour agriculture society this year

The 2025 leadership team of the Seymour Agricultural and Pastoral Society has been announced, with Jason Ronald OAM, Pam Beerens, Viian Beaumont and Cherie Matthews appointed with executive roles.

In a recent annual general meeting, Vivian Beaumont and Cherie Matthews were re-elected into their respective roles of president and vice-president.

Pam Beerens has been reappointed as secretary for her eighth year, and Jason Ronald OAM was elected as honorary treasurer, having previously served as president for eight years.

A year of success was revealed in the society’s 2024 annual report, which detailed its involvement in community events such as being part of the Tastes of the Goulburn and Seymour Working Sheepdogs committees; sponsoring the Victorian Wine Show; and awarding the Seymour Agricultural and Pastoral Society scholarship.

Life members, stewards and volunteers, along with sponsors and donors, were all thanked by Mr Beaumont during the AGM for their contributions over the year.

New members were welcomed and encouraged to get involved with the various activities the society facilitates and supports, particularly the Annual Show.

This year’s show will be held on October 3 and 4 at Kings Park in Seymour, with more details to come.
