You Are Here by Kristen R MacKenzie will run until January 28 at Jacobson’s Outlook in Nagambie.
Kristen R Mackenzie, who holds degrees in education and visual arts, draws on the themes of universal connectivity and the mysteries of existence in her paintings.
Strathbogie Shire Mayor Claire Ewart-Kennedy said the exhibition captured the beauty of the moment and how everything was connected.
“It’s the perfect start to our 2025 ARTBOX season, offering inspiration and a sense of wonder,” Cr Ewart-Kennedy said.
“The ARTBOX program continues to showcase the rich creative talent in our region and Kristen’s work illustrates the calibre of artistry we have here in Strathbogie Shire.”
The exhibition will aim to offer a window into mystical, multidimensional landscapes, inviting viewers to look beyond the surface and engage their imaginations.
ARTBOX is a mobile, travelling exhibition space which was brought to Strathbogie Shire with Creative Victoria grant funding.
The council’s aim for ARTBOX is to create a diverse and engaging annual exhibition program.
“Art continues to play an important role representing the amazing place we live,” Cr Ewart-Kennedy said.
“Our support of artists is crucial to a healthy, inclusive and accessible culture.”
Ms MacKenzie will be attending the exhibition on Saturday, January 25 from 10am to 2pm.
This will offer visitors an opportunity to meet the artist and learn more about the inspirations behind the exhibition.
