A small earthquake hit Carag Carag on Monday, November 6.
The 2.8 magnitude earthquake hit the area southwest of Stanhope at 6.45am.
Geoscience Australia said the earthquake was at a depth of 6km.
Fourteen people officially reported to Geoscience Australia that they had felt it.
Five minutes later, a 2.9 magnitude earthquake was recorded between Axedale and Goornong.
That earthquake occurred at a depth of 1km, and GeoScience Australia received seven “felt” reports.
The Carag Carag earthquake follows a 3.4 magnitude one from September 6 last year, where people in Carag Carag and Rushworth reported feeling it.
