Quality improved with some handy lines of fed lambs plus some good runs of Merino ewes.
Processor demand, however, was dull from a small group of buyers and prices were at lower levels than recorded at more recent markets.
The majority of lambs sold under the 700c/kg mark.
Export weight lambs sold from $195 to a top of $220/head, followed by the best of the heavy trades to 28kg carcase weight from $169 to $185/head.
The middle run of trade weighted lambs varied from $144 to $166/head.
On a carcase basis, the majority of lambs to processors were estimated at 640c to just touch on 700c/kg at times.
Light lambs sold mostly between $60 to $115, depending on quality and number in a pen.
Some of the bigger lines sold to a north-east restocking order.
The mutton market lacked drive with ewe prices failing to get over $100/head despite some good pens of Merinos in the lead offering.
Most ewes sold from $60 to $92, at a ballpark 260c to 320c/kg carcase weight.
