Deep Soulful Sweats has successfully built a large following with its events and sessions across the country. The progressive group movement experience involves raves, contemporary dance classes and performance spectacles. Participants are encouraged to ‘let go’ and ‘exorcise through exercise’.
It will all begin at 7pm on Saturday, November 2 at the Benalla Art Gallery, with festivities guided by experienced dancers and DJs.
Deep Soulful Sweats invites the community into an inclusive and exciting experience. The activities will include spontaneous movements and chanting, and are for those aged 15 and above, although the next morning there is something for the younger crowd to look forward to.
At 10:30am on Sunday, November 3, the Deep Soulful Sweats team will host a theatre-making workshop for children, known as Stage School. This free event encourages children aged seven and above and their families to dive into acting, singing, dancing and drawing to create a spontaneous theatre show.
The workshop is run by professional artists who will assist in making the imaginative journey into the magical world of theatre as memorable as possible. The session offers space for all interests, from those who dream of being the star, the director, or maybe the set designer — potentially even all three at once. From script writing to lead acting, there is something for everybody to enjoy.
Deep Soulful Sweats will use recycled and repurposed materials to transform the gallery ready for the cast of eager participants, encouraging them to get up and give it their best shot at an unpredictable, wild and spectacular show.
The blend of surprising and chaotic elements will join together and create a performance like nothing you’ve ever seen.
