This fundraiser will be part of the BFT cardio summit class on Friday, August 2.
The class will be set to disco tunes and will have lights, glow sticks, and a prize for best disco attire.
BFT hopes to raise funds for community members who are fighting cancer, have lost the battle or need help.
BFT member Frank Scarcella is one of the people it hopes to raise money for.
Frank lost his 17-year-old daughter to spinal cord cancer recently and, as a casual worker, is feeling the pressures of financially supporting his family through this difficult time.
A BFT member’s cousin, Bella Ainsworth, was diagnosed with a rare cancer called Cholangiocarcinoma, shortly after giving birth to her first child, Saf.
As the cancer has spread, Bella is undergoing more treatment, with her partner, Mitch, taking full-time care of her and their son.
Beau, a BFT coach’s brother-in-law, is recovering from a coma after a cowardly punch.
The community is encouraged to rally behind Beau and his family to ease their stress.
BFT wants to raise awareness and funds for the battles these people are facing through the fundraiser and continued activities throughout the week, including a gold coin donation drive.
It is also seeking prize donations from local businesses for a main raffle prize.
Everyone is invited to BFT for this special night.
