Greater Shepparton City Council handed out more than $1.6 million in contracts at the most recent council meeting.
The final council meeting of 2024 was held on Tuesday, December 17; however, the council went full steam ahead, with a total of $1,602,004.81 across five contracts awarded.
The contracts were the following
- $287,336.50 to Crow Constructions Pty Ltd for the design and construction of playground shade sails at nine different sites throughout Greater Shepparton.
- $108,962.04 was awarded to Waratah Constructions Pty Ltd for guard rail upgrade works along Bridge Rd, Cosgrove South.
- $442,456.27 was awarded to O’Loughlin Excavations Pty Ltd for the Culvert Renewal along Byrneside-Gillieston Rd, Merrigum.
- $97,790 was awarded to Watters Electrical Pty Ltd, for the installation of lighting at the Victoria Park Lake Skate Park in Shepparton.
- $665,500 was awarded to local company JMB Constructions Pty Ltd, for the design and construction of the Multi Use Change Room facility at VISY Stadium, Shepparton.
“It is always great to note the awarding of these contracts at our council meetings, particularly for works that are important to the growth and development of our region,” City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali said.
“We look forward to seeing these works completed, in particular the Multi Use Change Room facility at VISY Stadium, with design works under way.
“We have no doubt the community will benefit from the completion of these works.”
