New hard drives for museum
The Corowa District Historical Society Inc. has been very fortunate to receive funding from the Federation Council under the 2023/24 Community Grants Program.
This funding has been used to augment the cost of upgrading the capacity of the museum’s desktop computer and for the purchase of 2 portable hard drives for off-site storage of system backups.
The Corowa District Historical Society is a not for profit organisation run entirely by volunteers and funding of this nature is an essential part of maintaining the digital record of the vast collection of historical objects, photographs and textiles which are held in the Corowa Federation Museum.
Currently the museum has more than 14,000 items which have been digitised using the Mosaic cataloguing program with more records being added every week by our small but dedicated band of volunteers. Pictured is
The Corowa District Historical Society is very grateful for the support received from Federation Council and staff.

Quote of the Week
“The news recently has been so disheartening that an Albury hairdresser thought we might need cheering up. So, he put this thought for the day in front of his shop. ‘I told my wife to embrace her mistakes. So, she gave me a big hug!”
