Wallan community planting day
Grab a pair of gardening gloves, it’s time to get planting.
Melbourne Water is holding a community planting day at Wallan’s Hadfield Park on Monday, April 4, from 9am to noon.
After a pipeline was removed, plans to create a natural, open space for residents to enjoy came to the forefront.
The finished design includes 40,000 trees, open water pool and earth-lock to stabilise erosion and promote plant growth.
Head down to Hadfield Park to help plant some of the thousands of trees.
