Organised by Noonans Showcase Jewellers the sale will involve 28 local businesses and will run between Monday July 24 and Saturday July 29.
Among the local businesses taking part are retail stores, cafes, restaurants, bakeries, beauty parlours and food stores.
Talking to the Courier, Noonans Showcase Jewellers co-owner Cath Noonan said that businesses have been eager to get onboard with the initiative.
“The reactions (from businesses) have been great. It’s been very positive, I think because it has been pretty quiet,” she said.
Mrs Noonan is hoping the sales not only provides the Cobram community with some excitement and fun but also go some way to helping both residents and businesses ride out the current cost-of-living-crisis.
“It's been a sort of a tough time with interest rates and all the rest of it,” she said.
Along with the sales Noonans Showcase Jewellers plans to liven things up with little games.
Businesses involved will also have a raffle book for customers to enter into the town hamper draw with the winner to be announced on Saturday, July 29.
Mrs Noonan said that she hoped that locals will come out and get a hold of some great bargains, while also helping boost the local economy, and assisting the businesses who give so much to the community.
“We (local businesses) support our local community, and we hope that the local community in turn will support us,” she said.
Supporting local businesses has not only been the rallying cry of store owners with Moira Shire Council chair of administrator’s John Tanner AM recently spruiking the importance of local enterprises.
“Local businesses play a crucial role in the overall well-being and growth of communities,” he said.
