On Friday, October 13, women from country towns gathered in Nagambie for the Rural Women’s Day Celebration.
State Member for Euroa Annabelle Cleeland joined the festivities to support the remarkable women in our country towns.
“There are so many extraordinary women in our regional communities, and it’s fantastic to see them celebrated this Rural Women’s Day,” she said.
Rural Women’s Day, which launched in 2019, has gone from strength to strength and events are now held across Australia.
Last Friday’s event featured outstanding women from the region who thrive in their fields.
Some participants included business owners, vets, winemakers, landscape architects, photographers, marketing execs, chief executives and more.
Ms Cleeland said it was fantastic to see them celebrated.
“These are women who champion each other and make calls to check in because they understand that life in rural areas is relentless but relentlessly rewarding,” she said.
“Having a day to celebrate together provides a platform to support and encourage women in regional communities to connect with each other.”
