Long-time employee Paul O’Donnell has become a director of the company with an internal promotion.
And fresh to the team is Darren Young, after BMC acquired his accounting firm.
Director Adam Menadue said both transitions will allow the firm to better serve the needs of the clients and the community.
“Having had the good fortune to work alongside Brian McCleary, I can tell you his vision was for Paul to play a long-term role in the firm,” Mr Menadue said.
“He was certainly involved in the discussions for this next wave of management, which also included Brooke Keam becoming a director 12 months ago.
“And when conversations started with Darren, they were most welcome.
“His experience and knowledge is a strong addition to the team.”
Mr O’Donnell has worked in the finance industry since graduating with a Bachelor of Business Accounting in 2000.
He has worked only with local firms since then, joining BMC in 2017.
Mr O’Donnell said the move to director was “natural progression”.
“It came about with Brian’s retirement, and the firm’s growth,” he said.
“It is rewarding to be involved in a local company such as this, one which is progressive and dynamic and with a focus on growth.”
Mr Young has been working in the accounting industry in Deniliquin since relocating here in the 1990s.
He opened his own firm - Darren Young Accounting - in 2004.
Mr Young said being part of a larger firm would only benefit his existing clients.
“Bigger organisations provide more support, and we all need to keep up with a forever changing industry,” he said.
“Joining BMC gives me more time to work for my clients, who also have the benefit of that extra support the firm offers.”
Mr Young’s addition to the firm brings the number of employees across the Deniliquin, Echuca, Rochester, Barham and Hay offices to 39.
Mr O’Donnell becomes the fifth director in the company, along with Peter Rae, Kate Barlow, Mr Menadue and Ms Keam.
