Seasonal Concepts launched in 2009 in Sydney and is the collaboration of Ken Wallis and his partner, T.R. Keller.
The store’s eclectic collection of antique homewares, furniture and gifts have been sourced from Ken and T.R’s travels, as well as private collections, estate sales and auctions around Australia.
Visitors can expect towering walls of old glassware, colourful pots and Australiana. Then there’s the collection of taxidermy animals including a peacock, a lion in repose and a zebra.
Ken and T.R. are living in Tallarook while they consider their options for a life in rural Victoria.
They are looking for a site that will provide room for gardening, collecting, trading in old wares and their two great Danes.
“We couldn’t resist the offer to stock this fine old building with hundreds of items visitors and locals alike may have not seen in years or indeed ever before,” Ken said.
“We wanted to create a concept store like no other, to marry fresh in-season flowers with the contents of grandma’s kitchen and grandpa’s garden shed and present it in a way that would be a great experience for customers”.
The store is at 2 Main Rd, Tallarook, next to Hock the Ruby Cafe, and is open from 9am to 4pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from November 1 to December 22.
