When Shepparton coach Ted Lindon told The News that Nick Allan “keeps getting better with age”, the brains trust at GVL Data got a bit excited.
Like a fine wine, Allan continues to impress as the years roll on and after another classy Goulburn Valley League performance on the weekend, now is the perfect time to dive into his statistics for the season so far.
Allan was everywhere on Saturday afternoon, with the Bears defeating Shepparton United in the Deakin Derby.
The club stalwart had 36 disposals against United, picking up 17 contested possessions and five marks.
He had a handball efficiency of 95 per cent, a kicking efficiency of 88 per cent, laid five tackles and kicked three goals in a fantastic performance.
This is not the first time the player has put on a clinic this year, with Allan also picking up 28 disposals against Benalla in round 10.
He has averaged 21.2 disposals in his 11 games so far in season 2022, along with 3.7 tackles and 2.7 marks.
On Saturday Allan played a slightly different role to usual, with a move from the Bears seeing the talent spend more time at half-forward.
Allan is well and truly a GVL legend, playing over 300 games and holding the record for most games played in a Shepparton jumper.
It is clear the Shepparton star is yet to lose any of his class and Bears fans are sure to see plenty more entertainment from the number three as the season rolls on.
