All because the Foundation students dressed up as centenarians to celebrate 100 days at school.
Grey wigs, woollen cardigans, walking sticks and suspenders replaced their usual school uniform, and energetic running in the playground was swapped for slow and steady walking.
Principal Brendan Bicknell said the annual event had become a highly anticipated milestone, with kids and parents alike enthusiastically participating.
“The kids love it, there were lots of grandpas with their walking sticks and lots of grandmas with their hair in rollers,” he said.
“It’s a pretty special milestone.”
The dress-ups were accompanied by maths and literacy activities centred on 100 to mark 100 days of school.
