Added to the stress are the long-awaited ATAR results that can add tension and second-guessing to the situation.
However, a change of preference period offered to Year 12 students allows them to alter their VTAC course application, free of charge within specified dates.
This year’s change of preference period for Victorian students is currently open. However, it closes at 4pm on December 13.
The period allows students to assess their ATAR results after receiving them in early December and change their desired preferences because of a lower or higher ATAR result.
For some students, it may be a change of heart in what was once a desired career path, and at the last minute, they want to change the direction of their future.
For whatever reason, thousands of Year 12 students across Australia will be thinking about their futures now.
With all the hard work behind them, their futures are just beginning.
