This year’s International Dairy Week gets started at Tatura on Saturday, January 18 with a showmanship clinic, food truck festival and a national clipping competition.
This year’s event, the 35th, will feature six days of competition with 1200 entries from 160 cattle exhibitors, and remains the biggest dairy show of its kind in Australia.
On Saturday, the first Australian clipping championships will be held from 7.30pm in the Blackmore and Leslie Complex, at Tatura Park.
The celebrations will also kick off throughout the evening with the Tatura Food Truck Festival, starting at 4pm at the Tatura Park Oval.
The main breeds will be paraded in the arena from Monday, with the supreme championships judged on Thursday afternoon.

Sunday, January 19
Non-denominational church service at 9am; Holstein Australia Youth Challenge at 11am; VASA state junior judging and parading at 2pm; Showmanship classes and fancy dress at 4.30pm.
Monday, January 20
All breeds youth show at 8am; National Red and White Show at 3pm, National Illawarra Show at 3pm.
Admission is $10 on Monday and Tuesday, and $20 on Wednesday and Thursday.
