Santa Claus is coming to town
‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through Shepp city,
Not a critter was stirring; dog, art cow or kitty.
The council were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of Shane Sali danced in their heads.
Out on the showgrounds there will be not a clatter,
Except at the bars, that’s a Deck or Aussie matter.
The one night children go to bed early each year,
You know it must be time for St Nick to appear.
He’ll speak not a word, but go to work with delight,
Just as The News do, with no Christmas break in sight.
The stockings will fill, and away he will fly.
“Happy Christmas to all, until next year, bye!”
When: After bedtime
Where: Every house in the world with children who made the nice list
Cost: Free
